Oracle DBA (core)

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. As a Senior Support Engineer, you will offer strategic technical support to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Experience Required: Minimum 6 year plus of Linux/Unix/Solaris System Administration with knowledge on Storage and Backups. The candidate should have strong hardware level understanding and sound knowledge on Virtualization.

Work Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Noida
This is 24*7 support

Skillsets required / Job criteria:


In depth knowledge of the Oracle database architecture (Single Instance, RAC and ASM), related utilities and tools on Oracle 10g, 11gr1, 11gr2 and 12c.
Good hands-on experience in EXADATA DATABASE MACHINE Storage cell administration maintenance tasks by using utilities
Good Experience in Applying Latest Bundle Patches to EXADATA
Good Understanding of EXADATA smart storage capabilities, HCC, smart flash cache intelligent caching, EXADATA Storage indexes
A good understanding of the underlying operating system (linux/Solaris/HP Unix) and knowledge of network and storage.
A good knowledge of the physical database design.
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system (Unix/Linux/Solaris) performance tuning and monitoring.
A good knowledge and hands on experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g and 12c, Real Application Clusters, Partitioning, Diagnostics & Tuning, Audit Vault & Database Firewall, Database Vault, Advanced Security.
Defining database standards and procedures to cover the instance parameters, object sizing, storage, and naming. The procedures define the process for install/upgrade, corporate database. requirements, security, backup/recovery and automate the same.
Design, architect, and build databases based application systems from business requirements to planning and deploying test and production systems that are completely available and highly scalable..
Developing production database/storage(ASM) migration procedures.
Coordinating upgrades of system software products to resolve any Oracle/operating system issues/conflicts.
Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
Good knowledge and hands on experience of Oracle high availability solutions like RAC and Dataguard.

Senior Linux System Administrator

Skillsets required / Job criteria:

Sound knowledge on RedHat Linux Enterprise edition/Solaris / Oracle Linux with excellent Troubleshooting skills in a heterogeneous environment
Experience in Exalogic/SSC/Exalytic will be added advantage
Enterprise Level experience in Production Environment (24X7 support exposure)
Good Knowledge of Scripting (Shell/Perl) at Enterprise level supporting System Admin activities
Knowledge of ITIL framework/methodology would be an advantage
Good understanding of enterprise level Tools & processes like Change Management, Incident management, etc
Excellent written, verbal communication and Interpersonal skills
Must be willing to work in 24x7 operations
Detailed knowledge of networking principals: TCP/IP, Routing, DNS
Good Experience on handling Performance related issues on OS and NAS
Good Understanding of OS virtualization is a MUST
Understanding of Cloud Computing and tools
Storage / backup operations experience
Familiar with OS upgrades/Patching
